About
Alongside the government apparatus and the "Big Three", The Pilgrims Initiative is probably the largest and most influential organization in the Commonwealth.
It was founded after the invention of the jump drive, much like during the era of old Earth, to drive humanity's expansion forward efficiently and to combat the overpopulation of the Core Worlds.
Graduates who attended universities established specifically for this purpose receive financial and material support for setting up colonies, outposts, and stations.
This support is funded by the "Big Three" and tax revenues from Commonwealth worlds.
Citizens who join the initiative as colonists also receive temporary subsidies and tax breaks as an incentive to leave their homeworlds.
As a recent graduate of a Pilgrims university, the player takes on the role of a Sub-CEO, founding a new company.
Initially supported by their tutor, they build a headquarters and associated departments before venturing forth to explore new worlds for the Commonwealth and establish a flourishing industry.
Some may eventually set out to conquer the galaxy...
